I recently had the chance to travel to Salt Lake City and spend an afternoon with Tiffany & Jordan. They are living in Utah right now and are planning a spring wedding next year in Gilbert Arizona. The two days leading up to the session were rainy, so we were all pretty relieved that we had nothing but clear blue skies on the day of the shoot.
I know I rarely post anything personal and am trying to do a better job sharing whats going on in our day to day lives. It’s my goal to post at least once a month, so hopefully I’ll stick to it. So far this year, it’s been wonderful to be busy shooting every week. Once spring portraits and weddings wrapped up, the kiddos finished school so we headed over to California for a little R & R and got to spend some time with Mike’s family in the bay area. It was nice to leave the cameras behind and enjoy a change of scenery. Our boys loved surfing, riding roller coasters and playing with their grandpa (papa). Now that we’re back, it’s time to gear up for summer. I’m really excited about what’s coming up. We’ll be hitting the road and shooting in northern Arizona, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico, just to name a few! The blog may look a little neglected for awhile, but I’ll do my best to share the latest and greatest on Facebook.
I captured this on my iPhone right before they jumped into the ocean at Santa Cruz Beach. I love that they are holding hands!
Two weddings I captured just hit newsstands this month! Ali & Matt’s fall wedding is in the current spring issue of WedAZ on page 30.
Brooke & Matt’s Sedona wedding is featured in the June issue of HerLife on pages 136-138
Janelle & Jason were married at Grace Community Church in Tempe with a reception following at Superstition Manor in Mesa.
We were able to do a lot of portraits inside one of the church chapels. In fact, the one we used happened to be the same one Janelle’s parents were married in.
Janelle & Jason chose not to see each other before the ceremony. However, we got a little creative and they were able to talk between a door for a minute and say a prayer.
My second shooter for this wedding was Isabella, who captured the two images above. I especially like the image she captured on the left; a touching moment Janelle had with her dad before walking down the aisle. Isabella captured the below reception detail shots while we were finishing up family and bridal party photos.
